NEW YORK, June 21, 2025 – Cinephreak Pictures announced that its psychological horror feature Compression earned two top honors at the HerVision International Film Festival, held in New York City on June 20, 2025.

The film was awarded Best Thriller Feature, and lead actor Kevin Roach received the award for Best Actor in a Feature.
Compression was also nominated for Best Actress in a Feature for Emily Jean Durchholz, highlighting the film’s powerful performances and artistic impact.
Written and directed by Jakob Bilinski, Compression is a gripping psychological horror film that explores the fragile boundary between reality and delusion. The film has been praised for its cerebral storytelling, immersive visuals and emotionally charged acting.
“It’s incredibly humbling to see Compression honored in this way,” said Bilinski. “Being recognized by HerVision, a festival that champions bold and diverse voices, is an incredible affirmation of the creative risks we took with this story.”
As part of the festival’s official programming, HerVision featured a video interview with Bilinski, available on YouTube.
Compression is slated for wider digital release later this year through BayView Entertainment.
